So, I sit here after supper where the usual Johnny Appleseed was sung and Emma (soon to be 5, in 9 days) the youngest insisted on praying, where she asked God to keep us all safe and to remind her to not touch Daddy's things....after the amen Daddy said she had been forgiven and that she had not asked to play with the game and that was why something had been said to her. Well, she took that as being in trouble anyway Daddy reassured her that he indeed was not upset and that he had forgiven her for touching it, Which let her to answer with "but it still makes me sad that I did it" Again, we explained that Daddy forgave her to which her response was " but it still hurts in my heart" that's right she is almost 5 not 25, WOW!!! We went into how she didn't have to keep that feeling in her heart and she could let it go because Daddy had forgiven her. What a teachable moment for her and frankly for me too! I need to LET IT GO Jesus has forgiven me for my sins and I need to forgive myself and leave everything in his hands. PRAISE GOD for children with realness! and thank you LORD for placing one (and two more as well) in my home to remind me daily! Let us all think about God's gift of his son Jesus at this time of year, and be reminded to live the way Jesus did!
